Housing association chief executive steps down following ‘mutual agreement’ with board (Review)

South Liverpool Homes (SLH) has parted ways with its long-serving chief executive following a ‘mutual agreement’ with the board.
SLH stated in a statement that Julie Fadden, the company’s top executive for nearly 17 years, has stepped down following discussions with the board.

Ms. Fadden will be temporarily replaced by Ian Cresswell, SLH’s current executive director of innovation and technology at risk.

Ms Fadden expressed her disappointment with the decision, saying she wanted to go on to deliver new outcomes for a larger range of communities.
Ms Fadden’s “excellent devotion and dedication to the South Liverpool community” was recognised by SLH chair David Jepson.

During the epidemic, Ms Fadden headed the organization’s homelessness reduction effort, which rehoused almost 2,000 homeless adults and children in permanent furnished houses across the city, according to the statement.
The news comes six months after SLH’s governance rating was reduced to G2, with the English regulator declaring at the time that the board needs to improve its business monitoring and risk management.

“Having transformed the organisation to one that is completely focused on the communities we serve and delivering the work required to restore us to G1, it is time to look forward to delivering new outcomes for a broader range of neighbourhoods facing today’s challenges and needing new solutions,” Ms Fadden said in a statement to Inside Housing.
